Artist Statement
In my previous life I worked as a graphic designer/illustrator and painted whenever I could. In 2007 I made the decision to become a full-time professional painter and have never looked back. I work from my studio in a lovely town in North County Dublin. My love of bright colours is reflected in my painting. My canvas is saturated with colour and strong images. Whilst working mainly in a bold graphic style my images often contain subtle messages. Despite benign subject matter all is not what it seems.
Botanical painting and illustrations are represented in both acrylic and watercolour galleries. The delicacy of the watercolour botanical illustrations is in contrast to the explosion of colour and form in the acrylic floral paintings
